website, mobile applications, matchmaking services, and event-hosting services 

(collectively referred to as "the platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, 

understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("T&Cs"). If you do not 

agree with any part of these T&Cs, you must refrain from using our platform. 

 

2.1. You may be required to register an account to access certain features of the 

platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during 

registration and to update such information as needed. 

2.2. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account 

credentials and for any activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify 

Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd. immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. 

2.3. Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd. reserves the right to suspend or terminate 

accounts that provide false, misleading, or incomplete information. 

 

3.1. Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd. provides an online matchmaking and event-hosting 

platform designed to facilitate meaningful connections through curated events and 

digital matchmaking services. 

3.2. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with 

these T&Cs. You must not: 

● Use the platform in any manner that is fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive. 

● Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations. 

● Engage in any behaviour that is harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, 

harassing, or otherwise objectionable. 

 

4.1. All content and materials available on the platform, including but not limited to text, 

graphics, logos, images, software, and event content, are the property of Curated 

Connections (PTY) Ltd. or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and 

other intellectual property laws. 

4.2. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any 

platform content without prior written consent from Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd. 

 

5.1. Users may submit or post content, including but not limited to profile descriptions, 

images, event feedback, and messages. By submitting content, you grant Curated 

Connections (PTY) Ltd. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to 

use, reproduce, adapt, and display such content for the purpose of operating and 

promoting the platform. 

5.2. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to grant this license 

and that your submitted content does not infringe on any third-party rights. 

5.3. You agree not to post any content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, obscene, or 

otherwise in violation of these T&Cs. 

5.4. By make use of our services, you consent to content that is taken at events to be 

used for marketing purposes on all social platforms. If you wish to be excluded from 

this, it is your responsibility to notify the event host prior to the event. 

 

6.1. Certain services, such as premium matchmaking features or exclusive events, may 

require payment. You agree to pay all applicable fees as specified on our platform. 

6.2. Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. Curated 

Connections (PTY) Ltd. is not responsible for any issues arising from payment 

processing failures or unauthorized transactions. 

6.3. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. 

6.5. Membership signups are non-refundable. 

 

7.1. Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd. provides the platform on an "as-is" and "as-

available" basis. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, 

regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the platform. 

7.2. We do not guarantee that matches will be successful or that any connections made 

through our platform will result in personal, professional, or romantic relationships. 

7.3. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor do we 

guarantee that any defects will be corrected. 

 

8.1. To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd. 

shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages 

arising from your use or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to loss of 

data, personal injury, or reputational harm. 

8.2. This limitation applies regardless of whether the liability is based on contract, 

negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory. 

 

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd., its 

affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, 

liabilities, and expenses arising from: 

● Your use of the platform. 

● Your violation of these T&Cs. 

● Any third-party claims arising from your posted content or interactions on the 

platform. 

 

10.1. These T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of 

the Republic of South Africa. 

10.2. Any dispute arising out of or related to these T&Cs shall be resolved through 

arbitration in South Africa, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of South African 

courts. 

 

11.1. Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd. reserves the right to suspend or terminate access 

to the platform without prior notice if we determine that you have violated these T&Cs. 

11.2. Users who violate the terms may be permanently banned from the platform at our 

discretion. 

 

12.1. Curated Connections (PTY) Ltd. reserves the right to modify or revise these T&Cs 

at any time. The latest version will be posted on our website, and your continued use of 

the platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised T&Cs.
